Three people wanted in connection to triple homicide committed at 101 Fulton Avenue in Jersey City.
On January 16, 2017, at approximately 10 p.m., a triple homicide was committed at 101 Fulton Avenue in Jersey City. Jersey City Police Officers found three dead Jersey City residents, all from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Quadel Chisolm, Ishear Bailey and Janaya Lee. A report by the medical examiner’s office has confirmed earlier reports that Lee was pregnant at the time of her death.
Since January 16, the Homicide Unit of the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor has been working seven days a week to solve these murders. Today, the Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance and is releasing video surveillance footage and photos of several men believed to be persons of interest in the homicides.
Investigators believe that the men in the video were in the immediate area of Fulton Street at the time of the murders. It is believed that the three men entered a stolen U-Haul truck, committed the murders, abandoned the U-Haul truck in the vicinity of Fulton Avenue and then returned to the same area where they were captured again on the same video device. The U-Haul truck was stolen earlier from a Jersey City U-Haul location. The man seen in the video in dark colored clothing is believed to be Quadel Chisolm, one of the deceased.
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals in light colored clothing in this video and are urging anyone with information to contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip on the Hudson County Prosecutor’s website at http://www.hudsoncountyprosecutorsofficenj.org/homicide-tip/.
