The Hoboken PATH Station is closing tonight, Thursday, August 28th at 11:59 pm for needed repairs.  The station will remain closed until 5 am on Tuesday, September 2nd.  That means riders will have to find another way to commute into Manhattan through the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says urgent repairs will be made to the track and interlocking system that enables PATH trains to switch tracks and access different platforms within the station.  During the closure, “the Port Authority has coordinated with NJ TRANSIT, NY Waterway, and other transportation partners to provide alternative transportation options for commuters and PATH customers.”

According to the Port Authority, those options include ferries with reduced fares, cross honoring on the Light Rail system and certain NJ Transit trains, plus providing free shuttle bus service between Hoboken and Newport and Exchange Place.

This will be the second time in 2025 that the Hoboken PATH Station has closed for repair work.
