If you use the Hoboken PATH station, be prepared to find an alternate mode of transportation for nearly a month beginning at the end of January.  The station will shutdown for needed repairs, meaning no train service.

The closure will begin at 11:59 pm on January 30, 2025 and continue through February 25, 2025 at 5 am.

The closure is part of the $430-million PATH Forward Program.  According to Hoboken Councilman Michael Russo, who announced the closure on Instagram, “This closure will allow for essential track replacements, upgrade the station’s switching network, and refurbishments to the concrete platform and staircases.”

The Port Authority has announced a partnership with other transit agencies to make commuting as simple as possible for riders during the closure.  There will be expanded NY Waterway ferry service, shuttle bus service to the Exchange Place and Newport PATH stations, and additional light rail and NJ Transit bus service.

Councilman Russo says “To stay up to date, download the RidePATH app, visit the PATH Forward website, sign up for alerts, or follow @theportauthority_ny_nj for updates and travel alternatives.”
