Hoboken Police say they have arrested a 22-year old, Hoboken man for invasion of privacy. According to Detective Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera, Adam Papenhausen was arrested just past midnight this morning at 10th and Garden Streets, for what amounts to, acting as a Peeping Tom.
According to Cabrera, at 11:43 PM last night, Hoboken Police were dispatched to the area of 10th and Garden Streets on a report of a male looking through a window of a ground floor apartment. The caller provided a description of the alleged actor and direction of travel.
Police Officer Jonathan Figueroa and Police Officer Francis McCourt were first to arrive at the scene. They stopped a male, identified as Papenhausen, for investigation. A few minutes later Sergeant Roary Miller and Police Officer Nicholas Protopapadakis arrived to assist in the investigation. That investigation led to the arrest of Papenhausen, who was charged with invasion of privacy, peering, and hindering. Papenhausen’s charges were placed on a summons with a superior court date of February 8.
The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
