Busy weekend for Hoboken PD resulted in three people arrested and charged for theft-burglary.
On Friday March 25th at around 5.19am, 18-year-old Jourdan Maldonado from Hoboken was arrested and charged with Burglary/Theft .
According to Hoboken Police, Officers were dispatched to the area of Bloomfield St on a report of a male checking car doors, when they arrived, they saw the defendant exiting a vehicle carrying bags. Eventually the defendant admitted to entering the car illegally.
The defendant was released after posting 10% of the $7,500 bail given.
On Saturday afternoon, 53-year-old Elliot Dumont from Hoboken was arrested and charged with Burglary/Theft as well. Hoboken PD says that officers arrived to Clinton St on a report of a burglary in progress. Once they got there, they were given a description of a man who was found by 251-11th St., The defendant was known to officers from prior dealings. He was seen opening a package which he admitted to not owning.
The defendant was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail with 10% option.
Lastly, on Sunday around 1.26am, 43-year-old Julius Walker from Hoboken was arrested for Burglary/Theft/Resisting arrest by flight/Obstruction.
Hoboken Police observed the defendant in the area of Hoboken housing. It was known that Mr. Walker had outstanding warrants from a burglary/theft he had committed on February 27. When officers tried to apprehend the suspect, he ran away and hid from the Police. Once he was found in the area of 560 Marshall Drive, he resisted the placement of handcuffs but eventually was placed under arrest.
The defendant was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail with 10% option.
