Hoboken Police Department Announces New Phone Menu
The Hoboken Police Department has transitioned to an automatic attendant phone system for non-emergent matters.
While the non-emergency phone number will remain the same at (201)-420-2100, callers will be met with an easy to navigate menu of options to direct their call to the most appropriate bureau.
The menu options are as follows:
- Emergencies/Dispatch-Press 1
- If you know you parties’ extension-Press 2 to enter it now
- Records/Firearms/Outside Employment-Press 3
- Investigations Bureau-Press 4
- Administrative Bureau-Press 5
- Internal Affairs Division-Press 6
- Alcoholic Beverage Control Unit-Press 7
- Technical Services Unit-Press 8
- Office of the Chief of Police-Press 9
- Front Police Desk-Press 0
The new automated system will increase efficiencies by allowing dispatchers to only answer emergency calls for service.
The public is encouraged to dial 9-1-1 during emergencies, which emergency dispatchers will continue to answer.
