The Hoboken Public Education Foundation will be honoring the city’s Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Christine Johnson, during a virtual ceremony this coming Thursday, June 17.
Superintendent Johnson will be receiving the inaugural Shirael Pollack Award. Details were explained in a Facebook post by the HPEF:
We are less than one week away from our Virtual Award Ceremony that honors Dr. Christine Johnson, Superintendent of Schools, Hoboken Public School District, with the Inaugural Shirael Pollack HPEF #AimHigher Award.
Shirael was HPEF’s Co-founder and President, a Hoboken resident, entrepreneur, and proud Public School Mom. She cared deeply about elevating and advancing the Hoboken Public School District. She was a passionate and relentless leader who always strove to #AimHigher. She inspired others to want the highest vision for our public schools; aiming higher than ever before – doing more, giving more, stepping up and supporting the cause.
Shirael believed that the power of the #HobokenStrong community was unmatched. To continue her work and support our Hoboken Public Schools, we invite you to make a donation in her honor at hobokenpef.org: https://hobokenpef.z2systems.com/…/hobokenpef/donation.jsp
And please join us on June 17, 7PM for the Virtual Ceremony on Facebook Live. #hoboken #hobokenpublicschools
