Hoboken’s first bilingual school: embracing other languages, enhancing cultural awareness

Your child can now get an early start on learning another language in pre-school.

That was what Isabelle Bonneau envisioned when she founded Hoboken’s first bilingual
pre-school, Tessa International in Hoboken.

Bonneau says hundreds of families have already expressed an interest.

Several kids are attending an interim program leading up to the school’s September opening on Monroe Street.

The preschool is currently under construction and will be located on the ground floor of the Monroe Center — a newly renovated, historic industrial site.

According to Bonneau, Tessa offers a world-class curriculum and dual language immersion program for 2-year-old to kindergarten aged children.
