As Hudson County residents prepare to spend Thanksgiving with family, friends and football, annual holiday tree lightings are upon us.
The city of Bayonne kicks off the festivities later this afternoon at 5:30, as the Urban Enterprise Zone and Special Improvement District will light the City’s Tree in Kopcinski Park, located on Broadwat between 19th and 20th Streets. Holiday music will be provided by the Bayonne Jigh School Jazz Ensemble and the All Saints Catholic Academy Choir. There will be free cookies and hot chocolate, as well as free, trackless train rides.
On Monday, December 2nd, at 6 pm, Hudson County will hold its annual tree lighting in Braddock Park in North Bergen near the entrance at Palusades and Woodcliff Avenues. Free coffee, hot chocolate and pastries will be provided, and Santa will make an appearance. The Franklin School Choir will also perform.
The City of Hoboken will also be lighting its Christmas tree on Monday, December 2nd. The lighting will take place beginning at 5 pm out the front of City Hall on Washington Street.
Union City’s annual tree lighting g will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 6 pm. It will take place in Washington Park along the Jersey City border at Paterson Plank Road and 2nd Street. It is co-sponsored by the Washington Park Association.
