Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved allocating over $63,000 from the New Jersey State Body Armor Replacement Fund for life saving equipment

Jersey City – The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved allocating over $63,000 from the New Jersey State Body Armor Replacement Fund for life saving equipment.

The New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice has allocated funds for the State Body Armor Replacement Fund Program to the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor, Office of the Sheriff and the Adult Correctional Facility. This program provides lifesaving equipment for law enforcement officers within Hudson County.

The prosecutor’s office will receive $9,417.87, the sheriff ‘s office will receive $25,524.64 and the adult correctional facility will receive $28,527.60, for a total of $63,470.11.

Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders will provide the needed funds to protect the men and women of law enforcement.
