The Hudson County Board of Commissioners have approved an Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Grant of $115,000 for fiscal year 2021.  The funds will go to the Department of Health and Human Services for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

Specifically, the grant funds will be utilized by Khaleidoscope Health Care, Inc. for prevention, health screenings, education, case management and intervention services for county residents aged 13 years or older.   These individuals are experiencing substance use challenges.  The grant will ensure continued care and will enable individuals to complete their treatment.

Board Chairman Anthony Vainieri says the Board of Commissioners are “committed to providing the necessary resources needed to provide treatment, education and prevention of the effects of Alcoholism and drug abuse.”
