JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Hudson County Executive Craig Guy will host a free virtual “Know Your Rights/Conoce Tus Derechos” webinar on Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m., offering residents, business owners, and community members critical information on immigration rights and enforcement.
The event is being held in partnership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Institute for Immigration Law Policy. The webinar will provide legal updates and practical tools to help individuals understand and protect their rights against unlawful civil immigration enforcement.
“Hudson County’s strength comes from our diversity, and we are committed to standing with our immigrant communities and making sure they feel informed, supported, and empowered,” Guy said. “We are partnering with legal experts in our region to ensure every resident has access to accurate information and helpful resources to protect themselves and their loved ones.”
Experienced immigration attorneys Reana Garcia, Esq., Minwon Cho, Esq., and Carolina Curbelo, Esq., will lead the session. Attendees will receive guidance on navigating real-life situations, safeguarding families and businesses, and responding to potential enforcement actions. Content will be tailored to reflect the needs of Hudson County’s diverse communities.
The webinar will be conducted in both English and Spanish. To prioritize participant safety and accessibility, the event will be held entirely online, and attendees are encouraged to keep their cameras off and remain anonymous throughout the session.
Registration is required for the free event. Residents can register at this link and are encouraged to share the information with family, friends, and neighbors who may benefit from attending.
