Jersey City, NJ — Hudson County Executive Craig Guy is inviting residents to participate in the 3rd Annual Strides for Safety 5K Against Gun Violence, taking place at Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 21. This event offers the Hudson County community a chance to run or walk to raise awareness about and combat gun violence locally and nationwide.

“Hudson County must continue to work together with the community and organizations to end gun violence and protect our residents and families from its devastating effects,” said County Executive Craig Guy. “I encourage everyone to join us for this year’s Strides for Safety 5K. It’s about building a coalition of parents, youth, religious leaders, advocates, and law enforcement dedicated to creating a safer, thriving community free from the fear of gun violence.”

This year, participants will experience a new USATF-Certified 5K Course that highlights Lincoln Park in Jersey City. After the race, there will be an awards ceremony featuring light bites, refreshments, musical entertainment, family activities, and booths from local safety organizations, health-focused vendors offering yoga classes, smoothies, and massages.

Registration ends on September 15th. Click here to register.
