Jersey City Arrests: Shoplifting at ShopRite and Burglary on West 42nd Street
On 09/05/2023, the Bayonne Police Department reported three arrests in Jersey City. Zamir E. Anderson, a 23-year-old male from 16th Street, and Tyra M. Stevens, a 27-year-old female from Fulton Avenue, were apprehended at ShopRite at 1034 hours. The duo allegedly shoplifted merchandise valued at $292.10. Both face charges of shoplifting.
In a separate incident, Nancy A. Wandell, a 52-year-old female from McAdoo Avenue, was arrested at her residence at 1347 hours. The arrest followed an investigation into a burglary reported on 08/05/2023 at a home on West 42nd Street. The victim claimed that Wandell had entered her apartment and stolen her purse, which contained various IDs and cards. The purse was later found by a local resident near 45th Street and Avenue C. The Bayonne Police Detective Bureau’s investigation identified Wandell as the suspect, leading to her arrest. She faces charges of burglary, theft, and credit card theft.
