Jersey City Embraces Healthy Living with 2023 Farmers’ Market Extravaganza!

JERSEY CITY, NJ – In the pursuit of fresher, healthier, and more sustainable living, Jersey City is ushering in an exciting 2023 Farmers’ Market season. Beginning in April and extending through December, various neighborhoods will play host to these vibrant markets, offering a plethora of locally sourced produce for community members.

The 2023 Farmers’ Market schedule covers a comprehensive list of locations in the city, including Hamilton Park, Historic Downtown, Journal Square, Lincoln Park, Paulus Hook, Riverview Park, and Van Vorst Park. Each market operates on a unique timetable, enabling residents to shop for fresh produce at their convenience throughout the week.

Hamilton Park’s market will kick off the season on May 3rd, running through December 20th. The event, sponsored by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association, will take place every Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm on 8th Street, between McWilliams Place and West Hamilton Place.

Not far behind is the Historic Downtown SID market, set to start on April 24th and continue until December 21st. Sponsored by the Historic Downtown SID, this market will operate on Mondays from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Grove Street PATH Station and the Newark Pedestrian Mall.

Journal Square enters the schedule on May 30th, offering a Tuesday market from 12 pm to 6 pm until November 28th. The Journal Square Restoration Corporation sponsors this market, conveniently located at the Journal Square PATH Station.
