Thirteen new fire captains were sworn in to their new position with the Jersey City Fire Department, at City Hall, on Tuesday morning.
They were sworn in by Mayor Steven Fulop, with all city council members and fire officials in attendance, along with fellow firefighters, family and friends.
Fire Chief Steven Mc Gill thanked the mayor and council for maintaining proper manpower levels within the department to protect the city’s 300,000 residents.
The new captains are: Edwards Pickett, Bryan Giannecchini, Keith Kaufman, Kevin Barnas, Jeremiah Healy, Joseph Menendez, Nelson Estremera, William Clarrit, Joseph Boguszewski, Luis Colon III, Terence Cooks, Christopher Daliani and Ian Rooney.
