Jersey City Community Groups Appeal for State Assistance with Bus Service

In a recent development, 40 community groups and leaders from Jersey City have penned a letter to state officials, urging them to intervene in the discontinuation of the A&C Bus service scheduled for next month. The letter emphasizes the importance of this bus service to the West Side neighborhood of Jersey City and highlights the potential hardships thousands of residents and businesses might face due to its cessation.
The community groups and leaders have appealed to the Governor, elected representatives in Trenton, the Mayor and City Council, as well as the administrations of NJ Transit and NJDOT. They have requested these authorities to leverage their power and ensure the continuation of this vital bus service.
The discontinuation of the service is set to take effect on October 31st. The community groups and leaders are seeking immediate assistance, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
Among the signatories of the letter are the West Side Community Alliance, Lincoln Park North Neighborhood Association, Society Hill I and II, Kensington-Jewett Block Association, McGinley Square Community Board, Journal Square Community Association, and many more.
