JERSEY CITY – Police responded to reports of an unresponsive male down on the side of Montgomery St. at around midnight on February 14, 2015, officials said.
Police saw the 27 year old laying just outside the gate to Montgomery St. on the sidewalk of Bright St. He was being treated by EMT’s who initially observed the victim had been shot an undetermined amount of times, officials said. He was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center to be treated for a gun shot wound to his right groin area. By 2:42 a.m. the victim’s condition was assessed as non life-threatening, officials said. Police recovered one .40 caliber shell casing at the scene and are investigating this incident. No further information is available at this time.
