Jersey City Man Arrested for Stealing Mail Packages from Hoboken Homes

A Jersey City man was allegedly caught red-handed on foot with stolen packages from Hoboken homes, according to police.

Juan Maldonado, age 56, of Jersey City NJ was placed under arrest on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at around 3:16pm on charges of Burglary, Obtaining Burglary Tools, Theft, and Bail Jumping.

Officer James Barbro, Luke Zesotarski, and Sgt Cesar Olavarria, witnessed the defendant carrying a bag with stolen packages in the contents of the bag.

After noticing the officers, the defendant had attempted to conceal the packages by discarding the bag with the contents.

The defendant was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
