In what is being described by Jersey City authorities as a domestic violence incident, an unidentified, 54-year old man attacked a 29-year old woman, a 2-year old girl and a 7-year old boy with a knife on Monday morning, then turned the weapon on himself, slashing his throat, and dying shortly thereafter according to Jersey City spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
The attack took place in a second floor apartment at 76 Van Wagenen Avenue at approximately 7:15 a.m. The three victims each suffered slash wounds the their necks, but all were listed in stable condition at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No further information as to a motive has been released by authorities.
