A Jersey City Man was caught trying to cash a stolen check from a burglary in Hoboken.
On June 7th, Hoboken Officers were dispatched to the victim’s 2nd street address on a report of a Burglary. Officers arrive and observed damage to the front doors of the building along with damage to the victim’s apt door. Several items were taken from the victim’s apartment.
While the scene was processed the victim is notified by the bank about a fraudulent activity with the account at a Union City TD Bank branch and the person was still on scene. Union City PD was contacted by the bank and an arrest was made of the defendant. It was later determined that the defendant was the person who had entered our Hoboken victim’s apartment. Union City PD arrested and processed the defendant on their charges of 4 counts of Forgery offenses and later transported to our department for processing where he was charged with the above mentioned offenses.
42-year-old Enzo Maggiore of Jersey City NJ was charged with Burglary and Theft.
He was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility on $20,000 with 10% option.
He was also given Bail of $10,000 with 10% option for the Union city charges.
