Jimmy Davis worker alleges police involved with mayoral politics, Smith campaign responds. A paid worker for the Jimmy Davis campaign in Bayonne was issued a summons on March 23 for allegedly violating a city handbill ordinance. His attorney, Pete Cresci, argues the incident was all political, while a Smith spokesman says everything here was all standard procedure.
A copy of the Bayonne handbill ordinance can be viewed here, under 3-2.12 Distribution of Handbills.
