This beloved event, ingrained in the city’s tradition, took on special significance this year as it witnessed a record-breaking attendance.

With Christmas just around the corner, approximately 500 enthusiastic individuals gathered to witness the magical moment when the city’s towering Christmas tree was illuminated. The festive fervor was palpable as families and friends came together to partake in the joyous occasion.

The event, already a star-studded affair, featured none other than the jolly man himself—Santa Claus. Accompanied by Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and a cheerful gang of elves, Santa engaged with the West New York crowd, spreading merriment, and posing for pictures with excited kids. Mayor Albio Sires expressed his joy at the remarkable turnout, emphasizing the importance of community gatherings in fostering a sense of unity and holiday cheer.
