Mayor Jimmy Davis and Bayonne Library Director J.P. Porcaro are pleased to announce that the library’s Summer Reading Kick-Off will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in the library’s second floor gallery, at 11:00 a.m.. The event will feature a magic show by Mark Zacharia. The show is called “reMARKable,” which will feature plenty of audience participation, laughs, and a great time for the children.  This show is open to children from pre-school to 7th Grade who are Bayonne residents.

After the show, everyone is invited to come into the Children’s Room to sign up for the Summer Reading Club.  The theme this year is “A Universe of Stories.” This reading program is also open to all Bayonne children who are in pre-school to 7th Grade.

Mark Zacharia performs frequently at libraries, corporate events, restaurants, and parties in New Jersey.  He has performed in Off-Broadway shows in New York and for members of the New York State Legislature.  He is a magician, mentalist, and hypnotist.

The library is located at 31st Street and Avenue C.
