Man Arrested at Newark Airport Had Suspected Heroin, Methadone and More

34-year-old David Markov of Brooklyn NY has been arrested by Port Authority Police and charged with Drug Possessions, Fraudulent use of a Credit Card and Credit Card Theft, Port Authority Police says.

On March 27 around 1:30 am Police at Newark Airport answered a report of a disturbance at the Avis car rental counter. It was reported that the suspect had tried to use a credit card that did not bear his name and had run off when confronted.

When the suspect was found, he was breathing heavily and sweating.  The suspect was found to be in possession of 4 hypodermic needles, 46 decks of suspected heroin, 25 tablets of suspected Methadone, 20 white suspected Alprazolam pills and a silver metal spoon with suspected drug residue on it.

In addition, the suspect possessed  3 credit cards with names other than his own.

He was arrested by PAPD and transported to Essex County Jail.
