Man on Probation Arrested with Over 430 Bags of Heroin, Cocaine and More; Prosecutor Says

34-year-old Keith Brooks of Jersey City has been arrested and charged with various substance offenses, hindering, and several counts of endangering the welfare of children for possessing the narcotics in an apartment where two small children reside.

On March 31, 2017, Brooks was arrested by JCPD Detectives after he was found discarding 5 bags of suspected heroin out of his vehicle. A search warrant was executed at his residence and they found an additional 430 bags of suspected heroin, approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and $8,700 in United States currency. The seized suspected heroin has a street value in excess of $2,500 and the suspected cocaine has a street value of more than $1,300.

 

Brooks is currently on probation from a previous crime. Prosecutor says.
