Port Authority Police Arrest Man Found with Loaded Pistol on GWB

 

A 28-year-old Newark man was arrested yesterday april 24th with a loaded weapon at a hidden compartment by Port Authority Police.

The suspect known as Haniel E. Saldana, was driving a 2003 Honda sedan northbound leading to the lower level of the GWB in Ft. Lee. The suspect abruptly changed lanes, crossing a solid white line.

Port Authority police pulled the suspect over for the traffic violation. Officer Devins observed  modifications to the Honda that indicated a hidden compartment. The suspect consented to a search of the auto and officer recovered a loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol.. The suspect was advised he was being placed under arrest and he fled on foot and was caught by PAPD officers. The Honda was impounded.  The suspect was taken to Bergen County Jail.
