West New York police officers working the Cops in Shops program on Friday, July 11th saw suspicious males outside Pavan Liquors (formerly Mendoza Liquors and Deli) on Park Avenue.
Both kept watch as one went into the store.
An officer followed Gabriel Polo inside as the other male walked away.
An 18-year-old (Polo) tried to buy a bottle of vodka.
The store employee didn’t sell him the liquor.
He admitted he’s underage and was arrested by the police.
Polo was charged with unlawful attempt to purchase or have another purchase alcohol.
