That’s why the township is currently installing a brand new, artificial surface.  This is the first of several, upcoming infrastructure projects which will be taking place in Weehawken.  Many of these projects have been delayed due to the difficulty in obtaining materials and supplies as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Township is moving forward with as many projects as the circumstances permit.

According to Township Manager Gio Ahmad, the project cost is $674,799 in township funds.

Ahmad told Hudson TV this morning that the new field should be completely installed and ready for use in early April, barring any issues with materials.
