The Superintendent made the announcement during this week’s Board of Education meeting, stating, “This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and excellence of our students, staff, and entire community. Congratulations to all!”

West New York Board of Education Trustee Henry Codina had this reaction to NJ DOE’s designation:

The West New York School District has eight schools, including one High School, a Middle School, six elementary schools plus an Early Childhood Program.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, there were more than 8,000 students enrolled in the district, with over 500, full time classroom teachers.
