Angel Chavix of North Bergen, NJ Charged with Child Endangerment

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has confirmed the arrest of 25-year old Angel Chavix, a single male from North Bergen NJ on serious allegations of sexual contact and endangering a minor.

This arrest comes as a result of collaborative efforts between the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, helmed by Chief Jason Love, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Chief James Parker, and the Fairview Police Department under Chief David Brennan.

Initial reports suggest that on July 28, 2023, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office reached out to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding suspicions of child sexual assault. Subsequent joint investigations brought to light that Chavix was involved in a sexual assault incident with a child below 13 years in Fairview, NJ.

On August 11, 2023, officials arrested Chavix in Fairview, NJ. He now faces charges of second-degree sexual contact, and third-degree child endangerment, Following this, Chavix was placed under custody at the Bergen County Jail. He awaits his initial court appearance set to take place in Central Judicial Processing Court, Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella emphasized that these charges remain accusations at this stage. Angel Chavix will be considered innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law. Musella has also extended his gratitude to both the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department for their diligent efforts in this investigation.
