John T. Kennell, the director of operations for the housing authority of North Bergen, was arrested this morning on charges of extortion, allegedly taking cash payments from employees in exchange for helping them get fraudulent paid vacation days. He faces up to 20 years in jail and up to 250,000 in fines.
