
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development announced today that it has awarded the North Bergen Housing Authority nearly $340,000 to provide housing for non-senior citizens with disabilities. The NBHA is one of ten awardees in New Jersey to share $3-million in federal funding.
HUD Secretary Ben Carson stated in a press release that his agency, “is committed to ensuring people with disabilities have a decent, safe and affordable place to live.”
The funding is provided through HUD’s Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher Program.
