North Bergen Man Arrested After Narcotics Investigation


NORTH BERGEN – A Narcotics Investigation led to the arrest of 25-year-old Shayanne Peguero of North Bergen on January 16, 2015. 

After numerous complaints of drug activity, North Bergen’s Narcotics Unit set up surveillance cameras on 73rd Street . At this point, the probable cause was established to get a search warrant for Shayanne Peguero.

Police recovered four zip lock bags containing marijuana and two small zip lock bags containing cocaine. The location of where Peguero was dealing marijuana and suspected cocaine out of his car was near Robert Fulton School, as well as near a public park.

Peguero was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS with intent to distribute near school property and within 500 feet of a public park. Bail was set at $50,000.

  1. There is a much bigger problem with drugs in North Bergen NJ It is suspected the police are being paid off Reynaldo Perez 1208 13th Street Apt 1 North Bergen NJ does wild drug parties every Friday and Saturday Night the police know and yet they do nothing at all

  2. 4 bags of pot and 2 bags of coke? That’s it? Since when do misdemeanors get public attention. Nbpd is a joke. Not enough drugs in that town for a narcotics team. Put that money into something better for the town. Politicians in that town cansume as much drugs in a day than what this guy had on him.7
