Six members of the North Bergen Police Department received promotions this week during a ceremony held in the Town Hall Commission Chambers. Nicholas Galliano and Michelle Suarez were promoted to the rank of Captain. Thomas Yfantis and Santiago Hernandez were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, while Sean Rahbari and Jeffrey Gonzalez were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Public Safety Commissioner Allen Pascual and Chief Peter Fasilis congratulated the officers for achieving their promotions and the added responsibilities which go with command positions.
Mayor Nicholas Sacco stated, “I would like to congratulate all of them on this very well deserved promotion. I know you all will continue to move the department in the right direction and make sure our community is safe.”
