A three person slate running for North Bergen‘s school board is taking aim at a different three person ticket that it views as connected to the administration of incumbent mayor and state senator Nick Sacco.
Sacco is accused of being a “dictator” by the opponents. The school board technically has no connection to the town administration.
Former Sacco opponent Larry Wainstein is endorsing the opposition slate, and his community group sent out their press release also charging the schools are run by “dictator Sacco.”
Wainstein ran for mayor in 2015 and his ticket lost. He previously spilled the beans about his intent for a rematch when he wrote a letter to the editor of HudsonTV last month that said “when I am mayor.”
Annual school board elections across New Jersey are held on April 25th.
