Police Officer Arrested for Allegedly Placing a GPS Tracker on Ex-Girlfriend without Permission

Vache “MIKE” Assadourian (DOB: 04/22/1975; single; employed as Fairview Police Officer) of Ringwood, NJ, has been arrested on charges of Invasion of Privacy and Stalking.

According to the Prosecutor, an investigation by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit and the Fairview Police Department Internal Affairs Unit confirmed that Officer Assadourian’s former girlfriend discovered a GPS on her vehicle and further revealed that Assadourian had been tracking his former girlfriend’s whereabouts for a period of approximately 3 months using the device. Further investigation also revealed that Assadourian had disclosed private information of another’s personal life without consent.

As a result Assadourian was served with a Summons issued by the Bergen County Central Municipal Court on March 23, 2017 in Hackensack and charged with violating one count of Invasion of Privacy, N.J.S.A. 2C:14- 9(c), a Third Degree crime and one count of Stalking, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-10(b), a Fourth Degree crime.

Vache Assadourian is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 8:30 a.m.
