It’s Groundhog Day and this morning, the famous Punxsutawney Phil predicted that we’ll have another six weeks of winter weather. At around 7:25 a.m. he emerged from the ground to see his shadow. Accordingly to the folklore, if he see’s his shadow we’ll be expecting six more weeks of bone chilling winter weather. Last year, he predicted a long winter as well.
Staten Island Chuck predicted otherwise this morning. When he emerged, he didn’t see his shadow, predicting an early Spring for New Yorkers. Will we have an early spring or six more weeks of winter? We’ll have to wait to find out who was more accurate on this Groundhog Day, 2015.
