Tashon Robinson, age 30, of Newark NJ has been arrested during a narcotic operation on Tuesday, March 7th. Detectives on the case seized a large quantity of marijuana packaged for distribution as well as over $8,000 and a rifle.

Newark Police department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Task Force, have been investigating the residences on Lennox Street in Newark as well as Lincoln Avenue in Orange for some time with suspicions of narcotic activity in both locations.

Robinson is currently at the Essex County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing in Essex County Superior Court and has been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. However the charges are now accusations and he is presumed innocent at this time.

According to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly, the investigation is still continuing.
