Williams, a 47-year resident of Jersey City, spoke in favor of County, as opposed to municipal government, at Thursday’s Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders meeting. He also took verbal shots at Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and indicated he wants to see District 3 Freeholder Jeffrey Dublin win re-election.

  1. Good comments, Reverend Williams.. Let’s get the Wolf of Wall Street to end tax abatements. This welfare for the rich program saddles the unabated property owners and their renters with higher taxes and rents, as the abated propertiespay no school taxes and a very small amount of regular county taxes. Congressman Albio Sires and his business administrator destroyed the equitable tax base for many years in wny by granting over 4,000 30 year tax abatements. Jersey City was actually sued by three other towns because its abatements forced other hc towns to have to pay higher county taxes. Please also support Freeholder Chairmen Munoz for reelection and Police Officer Henry Marrero for Freeholder in North Bergen. Both good men are standing up to corrupt politicians in wny and north bergen.
