It’s likely the fastest growing athletic activity in the United States. No matter your age, whether your male or female, you’ve undoubtedly seen people playing it. Call it mini-tennis, or a larger version of table tennis…uh, ping pong…pickleball has become all the rage.
If you live near Jersey City’s Lincoln Park, you can now take advantage of Hudson County’s newest pickleball courts.
Last week, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for a brand new, pickleball court. The capital project event featured Board of Commissioners Chairman Anthony Romano (D-5) and Commissioner William O’Dea (D-2).

County Executive Guy stated, “Pickleball has become an increasingly popular sport, and we are thrilled to provide this new court for our residents. As County Executive, it is critical to listen to the needs of the community and provide them with the opportunities for safe recreation. Hudson County’s Division of Parks is dedicated to providing and maintaining all park amenities for the well being and safety of our residents and their families. I hope to see many residents on the pickleball courts soon!”

The Hudson County’s Division of Parks is always open to hearing from residents on ways to improve park amenities and facilities. Please provide feedback for County parks here.
