The HHA meeting was emotionaly-charged from the start, as Robert Davis III, a longtime city resident, was elected the Authority’s new board chairman by a 4-3 vote. Residents cheered loudly as he took on his new role and mocked former Chairman, Jake Stuiver, as he got up and heatedly abandoned his seat, the board and the meeting by rushing out the doors after the vote was heard.
During his interview with Hudson County TV, Chairman Davis shared his thoughts on how the HHA needs to come back to to the people and not be so politically-driven. He also had some honest and hard thoughts on Commissioner Lincoln’s role on the board, questioning his priorities and personal agenda.
