North Bergen Free Public Library Presents “Rodgers & Hammerstein and the Golden Age of Broadway Musicals 1943-1959”

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – The North Bergen Free Public Library is set to host a special series on the golden age of Broadway musicals, focusing on the transformative works of Rodgers & Hammerstein from 1943 to 1959.

In 1943, Rodgers & Hammerstein revolutionized the Broadway scene with their groundbreaking musical “Oklahoma,” marking the beginning of a new era in musical theater. This series, led by Adult Services Librarian Jane Spadaccini, will delve into the scores and showcase the evolution of the musical genre during this period.

The classes will be from September 11th to November 16th, from 4 to 5 pm on Mondays at the Main Library, located at 8411 Bergenline Avenue, North Bergen, NJ 07047. Interested attendees are encouraged to reserve their spots in advance.
