SchoolPlus Hudson hosted their first chess tournament at the Boys and Girls club of Jersey City. The tournament was open to all children in the community. There were 40 competitors, who were required to be at least five years of age. The participants were placed in one of two groups, beginner or intermediate/advance. The top three winners received trophies. Anna Novosyolok, Director, describes the school as an academic enrichment program.
