Secaucus, NJ — On August 1, 2024, the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit conducted a significant operation targeting prostitution-related crimes in the town. The operation led to multiple arrests for various offenses, including promoting and engaging in prostitution.
The crackdown began at 6:16 PM with the arrest of Alex Devilliers, a 39-year-old resident of North Bergen, NJ, who was charged with Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)]. Alongside him, Dilcaury Berroa, a 35-year-old from New York, NY, was apprehended and charged with Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Both individuals were issued complaint summonses and released from custody.
At 7:37 PM, the operation continued with the arrest of Cristaleen Rosario Santos, a 24-year-old from the Bronx, NY. Santos faced charges of both Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)] and Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. In a related arrest, Yasirys Delanieve, a 23-year-old from Paterson, NJ, was taken into custody for Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)], Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)], and Conspiracy to Commit Prostitution [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Santos and Delanieve were issued their complaint summonses and released.
The police’s efforts continued through the evening. At 8:53 PM, Mauren Paez-Duran, a 27-year-old from North Arlington, NJ, was arrested for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. She was also issued a complaint summons and released from custody.
The night concluded with the arrest of Rafaelina Perez, a 38-year-old from Union City, NJ, at 10:15 PM. Perez was charged with Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and released after receiving her complaint summons. Shortly after, at 10:36 PM, Francy Rubiano-Silva, a 33-year-old from North Bergen, NJ, and Joselyne Chavez Valencia, a 27-year-old from Elizabeth, NJ, were both arrested for Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)] and Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Like the others, they were issued complaint summonses and released.
