Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller has announced that a local resident has been arrested and charged with having child pornography in his possession.

In 2022, according to Chief Miller, Detectives from the Secaucus Police Department joined the ranks of the Internet Crimes Against Children [I.C.A.C.] Task Force – New Jersey, which is led by the New Jersey State Police.

This past June, the Secaucus Police Department began to investigate a tip that an image depicting child sexual abuse material was uploaded/stored on a storage medium that was registered to 64-year old Dominic Gravina of Secaucus.  The investigation, which was spearheaded by Detective Kristen Bronowich, revealed that Gravina was the possessor of this image, along with other images, depicting child sexual abuse material.

Chief Miller says that on September 4, 2024, members of the Secaucus Police Detective Division, assisted by the New Jersey State Police I.C.A.C. Unit, executed a Court Authorized search of Gravina’s Koelle Boulevard residence.  During that search, several electronic devices belonging to Gravina were seized.

Gravina was placed under arrest and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Pursuant to Criminal Justice Reform, he was released, pending his appearance in Court.

Chief Miller says this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may follow.

“The Secaucus Police Department will continue to hunt child predators and bring them to justice, and my detectives have my unrelenting support.” Chief Miller stated.  “Possessing child sexual abuse material is repulsive and my detectives are committed to investigating crimes that exploit our most vulnerable population, our children.”

The charge against Gravina is an accusation and he is innocent until proven guilty.
