Secaucus Police Weekly Arrests: July 31st to August 6th, 2023
SECAUCUS, NJ: The Secaucus Police Department, under the guidance of Chief of Police Dennis Miller, has released its blotter for the week of July 31st to August 6th, 2023. Here are the highlights of incidents and arrests:
- Almustafa Bennet’s Arrest for Outstanding Warrant On July 31st, at approximately 2:53 PM, Almustafa Bennet, 40, from Secaucus was arrested for an outstanding warrant issued by East Orange, NJ. Mr. Bennet was unable to post the set bail of $1,500 and was transported to the East Orange Police Department for further processing.
- Nasir Sanchez’s Multiple Charges Related to Robbery In a follow-up investigation related to a robbery on Millridge Road from February 28th, Nasir Sanchez, 20, of Union City, NJ was arrested on August 3rd. Charges included Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and several others. Mr. Sanchez is currently held at Hudson County Jail awaiting trial.
- Derryan Jimenez’s Arrest Connected to Garry Terrace Robbery Derryan Jimenez, 26, from New York, NY was arrested on August 4th in connection with a robbery on Garry Terrace. Jimenez is facing charges including Robbery, Assault by Auto, and Conspiracy to commit Robbery. Like Mr. Sanchez, Jimenez has been transported to Hudson County Jail.
- Vicente Canalesmejia’s DWI Charge After Vehicle Crash Vicente Canalesmejia, 58, from North Bergen, NJ, was arrested in the early hours of August 6th after a motor vehicle crash. Canalesmejia was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and received several other motor vehicle summonses.
The Secaucus Police Department would like to remind the public that these charges are merely accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
