Secaucus, NJ – The Secaucus Police Department has released its weekly blotter for the period of October 2nd to October 8th, 2023. The report details multiple arrests, ranging from drug conspiracy to shoplifting.

On October 2nd, 2023, at 7:28 PM, the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of a 40-year-old male, Morris Galing of Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Galing was charged with Conspiracy to commit Distribution of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine. He was issued a complaint summons and subsequently released from police custody.

During a motor vehicle stop on October 5th, 2023, at 8:10 AM, Secaucus Police arrested Carlos Jimenez Benitez, a 45-year-old male from Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Jimenez Benitez was charged with Receiving Stolen Property for being in possession of a stolen motorcycle. He was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On the same day, at 4:02 PM, Secaucus Police responded to a shoplifting report at T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive. Two males, Ewar Alejos-Garcia, 22, and Angel Ruiz, 18, both from New York, NY, were arrested. They were charged with Shoplifting, Possession of Burglar Tools, and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting. Both were issued complaint summonses and released from police custody.

Later that evening, at 8:14 PM, another shoplifting incident was reported at the same T.J. Maxx location. Christina Gonzalez, 36, and Olga Candelaria, 58, both from Jersey City, NJ, were arrested and charged with Shoplifting. Both women were issued complaint summonses and released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
