On Sunday, September 3, 2017, at approximately 12:16 pm, Secaucus Police received a 9-1-1 call of a woman going into labor in her home, located on the 700 block of County Avenue.  Sergeant Michael Simone and Police Officers Justin Restrepo and Sean Egan arrived at the residence, within minutes.

Upon their arrival, the baby was already crowning. Police Officers Justin Restrepo and Sean Egan successfully delivered the baby girl in the residence.  The mother and baby girl were transported to Hackensack University Hospital and are doing well.

Chief Flaherty is thankful the mother and her baby are fine.  He also commends all the officers involved and Dispatcher Thomas Meicke who handled the initial 9-1-1 call.
