Hoboken residents know it exists, but you might not if you aren’t a resident of the Mile Square City. Court Street is an historic, cobblestoned street located east of Washington Street behind the storefronts on Washington, in the First Ward.
It has some of its own shops, as well as some residences.
The street surface is mostly, but not entirely, cobblestone. It’s your typical, urban area alley way with a certain charm…but it is in need of repair for safety reasons and historic preservation.

A second community meeting on the preservation and rehabilitation of Court Street has been scheduled for May 31st at 6 pm. at a location to be determined.
